After being foiled by traffic delays, phone calls and one cloudy day, I finally made it to Smith Point Park bridge in time to catch the sun as it began its descent into the horizon. I was able to capture pictures from under the bridge with a 300 mm equivalent fast lens - without any filters on all of them - for pictures that look more like paintings, in their golden yellow brightness. The later images were taken with a slower 500 mm equivalent lens (no tripod or filter also) and that coupled with the sun lower in the sky ensured totally fantastic shades of red.
